List of Course Taught
I was recruited as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Science in the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2012. My main duties were to coordinate and deliver both lectures and tutorials for Science Foundation courses and a number of General Education courses (Common Core Courses). That was a time when I picked up knowledge about the Outcome-based Approach to Student Learning, and applied this approach in curriculum development and classroom pedagogies in SCNC1111 Scientific Method and Reasoning, which was compulsory for all first-year science students in the BSc programme.

Then my involvement extended to an upper-level science course. I have been the course coordinator of SCNC3111 Frontiers of Science Honours Seminar Course since the academic year 2017. This is a course tailor-made for aspiring researchers in the entire BSc programme, and the topics covered in this course ranged from physical sciences to biological sciences. My role was to ensure that students can achieve the milestone of translating the interdisciplinarity in science to their higher-level research work.

The Common Core curriculum was offered to all first-year undergraduate students, irrespective of their majors. It affords students with opportunities to investigate, from multi-disciplinary perspectives, issues commonly faced by humankind. Teaching these courses was an eye-opening experience because I needed to develop learning materials from the point-of-view of non- Science students.

In 2019, I have achieved the status of Senior Fellow of The Higher Education Academy in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education. In 2020, I was promoted to Senior Lecturer.
